It takes approximately three months for the first tray to fully process into vermicompost. Each additional tray will take about month before they’re ready for harvest, depending on the amount of food and bedding put into them. After each tray gets harvested, it can be placed back at the top of the pile. And so the vermicomposting cycle begins.
